During the installation I get this error and am unable to continue...

Create Directories

The file or the directory 'work/' is not writable for me.
The rights (chmod) are not set properly or it has the wrong owner.
Pleae set the correct attributes using your FTP-Programm.
The file or the directory needs to be set to 777.

The file or the directory 'work/config/' is not writable for me.
The rights (chmod) are not set properly or it has the wrong owner.
Pleae set the correct attributes using your FTP-Programm.

All the directories are at 777 already.

If this is really true, ask your host why a PHP script cannot write into these directories. In that case the server is configured incorrectly.
Did you duoblecheck that the directories do have chmod 0777?
