FTP not working in crondump.pl (v1.22 and 1.23)

My German isn't so good, so hopefully English will do. I've been trying to get the crondump script to work and it does save the backup but doesn't FTP them to a other server. It looks like that code is never executed (I don't get error messages or other FTP related messages).

My settings:
Extension: .pl
COnfig dile: mysqldumper
Path: ../../cgi-bin/
GZIP: not activated
Email report: yes
Attach backup: yes
Backup by FTP: yes

Does anyone know how to fix this?
