Perl und PHP sind 2 völlig unterschiedliche Welten.
Wenn Zlib als PHP-Modul installiert ist, klappt deshalb noch lange nicht Zlib bei Perl.

Entweder Du installiert für Perl compress::zlib oder Du schaltest die Kompression beim Logfile und beim Backup ab.
Dann geht es auch.

Das haben wir hier doch auch schon 1000mal erklärt und es steht auch in der FAQ.

Wenn das Cronscript einfach abgebrochen wird, dann hat der Hoster ein Zeitlimit auf Perlscripte (na? Bei all-inkl? ). Der Server bricht das Script dann einfach ab. Da können wir nichts machen...
Das ist kein Fehler des Scripts sondern eine Restriktion des Hosters.
