Hi all,
I'm trying to create a copy of my forums on my desktop but when I try to restore a backup of my forums I get this message:
"Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in I:\XAMPP\xampp-win32-1.7.7-usb-lite\xampp\htdocs\mysqldumper\restore.php on line 131"
Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Are you running the server on a usb-stick?

Yes. I downloaded the portable version since I often move between my laptop and desktop. Is that what is causing the problem? I thought since it was specifically made to be portable it wouldn't be any different than the regular version.

From what I have seen in real life, I can say that file access tends to be slow on sticks.
While MySQLDumper often opens and reads the backup file this could be the bottleneck here. Please use a web server on a real filesystem.

Sounds good. As long as I can move everything onto a USB, I don't mind copying the files to my laptop/desktop when I need to use them. I'll give it a try and post an update. Thanks for the help.

I had time to attempt it again and, after copying the files to my desktop, the database restored with no problem. Thanks again for the help.
