2010-05-05, 16:42 Error 403 during restore |
  |
Hello,
I am running the version 1.24, MySQL 5.0.51a-24+lenny2 on hebe.com
I am using MySQLDumper since a couple of month as backup and management tool on three different domains and two different hosts.
When I want to restore, I get an Error 403 in the middle of the process and the restore is stopped.
The only solution I got so far is to use PhpMyAdmin for restoring
I know this is not a long term solution and would like to fix this issue.
Thanks in advance for helping.
Cheers,
Francis.

This must be a server restriction that blocks MySQLDumper after some selfcalls.
You need to ask your host what restriction takes place here and how you can get rid of it.
This is not an issue of MySQLDumper. It's a restriction of your host.

thanks for your fast reply.
This is something I even did not think about since hebeh.com does recommand the usage of mysqldumper, so I assume their settings are compliant.
I will ask them anyway

Sometimes some restrictions only show up when dealing with a lot of data.
Nevertheless a test with smaller files can be successful.

This really is small. Was the dump made using MySQLDumper?

Yes...
I am going to make a test on a local machine and keep you informed of the result.

So then we need to wait for the answer of the host.
Nevertheless I could test your backup on my local server if you want me to do so. In that case you could send your file to admin at mysqldumper.de

Thansk for the file.
I could restore it without any problem. So - like I said above - it is a restriction of your server.

Hello,
You were right, they replied me that they implemented some restrictions on the servers.
They removed it and now everything is working well
Thanks for your support.
regards,
Francis.

I added:
Options +ExecCGI
AddHandler cgi-script .pl
to my .htaccess file in the MySQLDumper Directory.
Hope this helps someone.
P.S.
